Evil Dead II
The Evil Dead was a successful horror film, but made on a shoestring budget over a span of four years. In 1987 director Sam Raimi, producer Rob Tapert, and star Bruce Campbell returned to that cabin in the woods, this time with a real Hollywood production team, and backed by famed producer Dino De Laurentiis. Rather than try to recreate the raw, grindhouse appeal of the original, Evil Dead 2 adds high production values and a good deal of comedy to the mix. It’s often cited as the best film in the Evil Dead trilogy, but do the Now Playing hosts agree? If you give us a hand and donate you can listen and find out!
